I was trying to call up my buddy today to see if he could get me some wholesale diabetic supplies. He's got some pretty good connections. I wasn't able to get a hold of him, though, so I'll try later tonight. I'm trying to cut costs wherever I can because I'm saving up for a major trip later this year. I haven't decided exactly where I want to go yet. I could go any which way right now. I was thinking I could try something more exotic like going to a rainforest or maybe I could go for something more rugged like an extended camping trip somewhere. I know whatever I decide to do I want to do it alone. I just need to get away from everyone and everything. I'm in one of those phases in my life where I know I need to carve out some quiet time for myself. My girlfriend isn't too thrilled about the idea, but she understands. There are just certain things I need to sort out that I know I'm not going to be able to concentrate on as well with other people around. I told my girlfriend when I come back that I'll make sure we do something extra special to make up for it.
